Roast Garlic

Roast Garlic

Garlic is a culinary aphrodisiac, so fill your home with the aroma of this roasted allium.

Simply turn the oven to 400 degrees. Remove the outer layers of paper from your garlic head, leaving all cloves connected.

Then cut off the top quarter or so of the cloves, and pour 1-2 teaspoons of olive oil over the open cloves. Then wrap in foil and roast for at least 40 minutes. Check every 10 minutes until they reach the flavor you seek.

A wonderful appetizer to serve guests along with olives, bread, and cheese. Just spread on a slice of bread, drizzle with oil, and season with salt and pepper.

Also - take note of the olive oil you use to roast - IT WILL AFFECT THE FLAVOR OF YOUR GARLIC. So make sure to use an oil you like.

Use in salad dressings, soups, spreads - anywhere you'd use raw garlic. Can keep in the frig for a week, or wrap well and freeze for up to three months.
