Savory French Toast & Tomato Soup

Maybe with a light red wine to sip. And it’s all made from basic supplies in your pantry.
Savory French Toast

Ingredients:
6 pieces of bread
3 eggs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan, Gruyere, or cheddar
optional sliver of garlic or other spices
salt and pepper
1 tbsp oil
Tomato Soup
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
28-oz can of fire-roasted diced tomatoes
1 jar roasted red peppers, drained
2 cups broth
salt and pepper
butter, cheese, cream, or high quality olive oil for drizzling/stirring/sprinkling over finished soup
