Desserts on a Diet

This video is for you if you're looking for the answer to having your cake and eating it, too (I had to use that line...).

Portion control is a major factor to balancing your happiness and your health. Wellness gurus preach moderation - but if you've got a huge cake staring you in the face, you only have a few days to eat it before it goes bad. And we all hate wasting food.

Go invest in a few tiny cake and tart pans and make yourself small cakes (or even small cupcakes). Freeze any remaining batter and icing and you're ready for more cake later.

Nothing is wasted and you didn't have to overeat to save the food from the waste basket.

4-inch tart and cake pans are ideal for desserts but also for individual-sized savory pies and tarts. You can even use them for casseroles or baked pasta dishes.

Freezing food in these small dishes will also save room in your freezer and make it easier to reheat individual portions for meals.

I'm a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and I help people eat more vegetables through my cooking companion videos. My goal is to make you feel more comfortable cooking, so I show you not only how a recipe works and looks, but I give techniques and suggestions for making it easy on beginner cooks.
