Forgotten Kisses

Growing up, my little town would host cookie parties during the holidays. Everyone would bring cookies for everyone else, and you’d exchange with each other. I loved Forgotten Kisses. Crispy meringue bites with chocolate chips hidden in the little white clouds.

Use aquafaba for a vegan treat.

Forgotten Kisses

(meringue cookies)

2 large egg whites at room temperature (or 6 tablespoons of aquafaba)
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/3 cup superfine granulated sugar (or up to 2/3 cup)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup finely chopped walnuts (or just 2 cups of either)
