Um, yes cooked melon is tasty. It gets very buttery and picks up all the other flavors, while maintaining just the melon essence. If you like melon and prosciutto - or just putting salt on your canteloupe - then you will enjoy this.

Blistered Melon Salad

Ingredients:
1 small ripe melon
1-2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
1 tbsp of olive oil for rubbing on the melon
2-3 tbsp of olive oil for dressing
4 oz feta cheese
handful of olives (can be chopped or left whole)
half a cucumber, finely sliced
fresh baby greens
1 tbsp red wine vinegar for drizzling over salad
salt and pepper to taste

Recipe summary: Slice melon and remove seeds. Poke holes into the melon and place rosemary leaves. Rub one side with olive oil and placed oiled side down in a hot pan (or on the grill). Leave for 7-8 minutes until charred. If serving as a salad, chop cheese and olives and drizzle with red wine vinegar and olive oil.
